In North America, specially in the USA, next monday is 'Columbus day'
Each year, the second month of October (14th Octuber 2013) there is a family-friendly celebration along Manhattan's Fifth Avenue. The parade travels from 47th Street to 72 nd Street to honor Italian Americans' contributors to New York City. Christopher Columbus was Italian and he discovered America in the most famouse voyage ever, with a Spanish flag during the reign of queen Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand.
